First time carrying in public
Got my permit two weeks ago and carried first time Sunday. 1911 Government in a Tulster Profile. Was SO paranoid but wife couldn't tell.
Gets easier right?

That's a steal at that price honestly. I paid way more for mine.
Absolutely gets easier. That hyperawareness is normal - shows you're taking it seriously. After 22 years carrying on duty and now concealed daily, it becomes second nature. Good choice on the 1911 and quality holster. Just keep carrying consistently and that paranoia will fade in a few weeks.
Man I can't wait to get to this point! Still waiting on my background check to clear. How's the 1911 for concealment? I was thinking Glock 19 but really want a 1911... just worried about the size/weight.
